Wesam Shahed
For an Affordable, Safe, and Healthy Cook County
My name is Wesam Shahed and I am running for Cook County Commissioner in the 6th Disctrict.
As a first-generation Palestinian-American and lifelong Chicagoland resident who has spent my career as an attorney and policy advisor working to strengthen justice and protect civil rights, I will represent the working families of south suburban Cook County. With a proven record of effective policy work and a commitment to serving our communities, I’m running to bring responsible, principled leadership to our government.
Wesam’s Platform
The son of immigrants and a first-generation Palestinian-American, Wesam is a prosecutor who has fought to protect civil rights throughout his career and protect our communities. Now he’s running to stand up to Donald Trump and other right-wing extremists and provide relief to working families throughout the Southland.
